One of the nicest things about owning a shop is the sense of place it gives you. Being able to come into a space you’ve spent time designing, configuring and making your own is extremely satisfying. So, we’re happy to announce that after a great run having Woodlands in Portland’s Old Town neighborhood, we’ve moved our shop to the Black Box building, and become neighbors with the other member in our family, Tanner Goods. By moving into the new space, we were able to create some really cool window and display options, share storage with Tanner Goods, take advantage of an amazing, well-trafficked retail area and benefit from the synergy of a new building filled with incredible neighbors. We’re super excited about our new space, and as always, we hope you’ll come stop by when you’re in the area. 413 SW 13th Ave. Porltand, Ore. 97209

Also on the list of things we’re excited about right now is a new denim shirt from Tellason. We love a well-made, classically styled shirt, and this one delivers on all counts. Made from Cone Mills White Oak 6.5oz raw denim, its gray-blue shade is really striking, and allows it to be worn with raw denim jeans without looking like you’re wearing a monochromatic suit of denim. Details on this fine item include painted metal buttons that have been “tossed in the hopper” to create a nice patina, a single mother-of-pearl snap on the cuff, the same brown and gold thread used on Tellason jeans, and buttonholes and button thread from the same indigo thread used on the Tellason back pocket “T.” And perhaps our favorite touch: A pencil slot on the right chest pocket, which comes with a Tellason yellow #2 for your scribbling needs. This item is only available in a few select retailers, and we’re stoked to be one of them. Get one while we’ve got your size!

We’ve also received new stock from Reigning Champ, incredible new sweaters from Dehen 1920, a restock of Two Feet Ahead socks, and an unheard of restock of the Yuketen Main Guide Boot in brown Chromexcel leather. Many of these items move quickly, so don’t sleep. See you in The Woodlands.
